On our tour to Egypt and Holy Land we will visit Cairo with it's old Coptic (Egyptian Orthodox) churches, we will understand better the route of the Holy Family when fled to Egypt.
MATTHEW 2:13 "After they had left, suddenly the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, 'Get up, take the child and his mother with you, and escape into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, because Herod intends to search for the child and do away with him.'
You will visit Giza with the pyramids and sphinxes, hear of the ancient Egypt and its culture when visiting Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Chance to expiriance to climb the Sinai and read the Bible on the places where Moses had prayed to God, where Yahweh spoke to Moses!
From the Red Sea you willcontinue to Holy land, to Jerusalem and visit the land Jesus walked on.
Journey that will help you to understand Christian history and Biblical lands even better!

November 2nd - 15th, 2008
DAY 1:
Departure from your gateway city, intercontinental flight to Egypt, Cairo.
DAY 2:
Arrival at the Cairo airport where we meet our guide, obtain visa and continue with transfer to your 5* hotel.

Day 3:
Breakfast, then start your sightseeing by visiting the Egyptian Museum thousands of years old history, culture that still amazes us. Continue to the Pyramids of Giza. Cheops Pyramid, largest of the three, was built in the 3rd Dynasty about 2690 BC, and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. In front of the Pyramid of Chephren, we find the Sphinx carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a Pharaoh's head thought to be a portrait of the pharaoh Chephren. Enjoy a camel ride by the Pyramids area. Some free time before return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:
Breakfast at the hotel and then departure to Old Cairo visiting church of Virgin in Zayton, apparition of Our Lady above this church is still under the official investigation by the of the Coptic Church. Later in the morning group will leave Cairo towards Sinai.
You will cross the Red Sea, through the tunnel, and after several hours will arrive to the hotel in the village St. Catherine.

- When Moses came down from the Mount Sinai, with the two slabs of the Statment in his hands he was not aware that the skin of his face was radiant after speaking with Yahweh. -

Day 5:
Morning visit to the St. Catherine monastery few min ride by bus from the hotel. Enjoy free morning by the Monastery, only building on the Sinai peninsula saved from the destruction of the wars and invasions, monastery have been there since the 6th century. Inside the monastery priceless icons, legend says that the well there is actually Jethro's well and just behind the St. Catherine's basilica within the walls one can see tree also called "burning bush".
After the visit group will get together and leave for Jerusalem. Crossing the border you will meet with your Holy land guide before continue to Jerusalem. Tonight your first night in the Holy land.

OPTIONAL:
Same morning on the day 5 group can
climb the Mt. Sinai, beduins local tribes call it as Gebal Mousa, Mount Moses, group leaves hotel at about 2:00 am, walk lasts about 6 hours where all pilgrims reach the top of the mountain before the spectacular sunrise on the top of the Mt. Sinai.
Return to the hotel - breakfast and rest for a while before visit monastery St. Catherine. |

Day 6:
First morning in Jerusalem after the breakfast will begin with the visit to the Old City, Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount area. Same day on your itinerary is visit to the
Church of St. Anne Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed crippled man. Group will follow the way of the Cross - Via Dolorosa - Lithostrotos, Chapel of Flagellation, and the day will end by the Holy Sepulcher. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7:
In the morning group will leave for Bethlehem for visit to the Church of the Nativity with the St. Catherine's church. Day will continue with the visit to the Shepard's Field, Ein Karem
with the Church of Visitation, when Mary went on visit to Elisabeth. Visit will also include the Church of St. John the Baptist, existed already in the 5th century, later rebuilt and enlarged by Crusaders.
Return to your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 8:
After the breakfast you will leave for old Jerusalem visiting Mt. Zion, Upper Room nearby Dormition Abbey. Same day visit continues with Mount of Olives with Church of the Holy
of Ascension, rather modern Pater Noster church then Dominus Flevit church, Gardens of Gethsemane with the church of All Nations and at the end St. Peter's in Gallicantu. return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:
Today you are on the way to the place where Jesus went to visit his friend Lazarus, Bethany (Lazarus' Tomb), continue then to Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls), Dead Sea, by Ancient Jericho to Jordan River. Here at river Jordan
at Yardenit Garden pilgrims will have a chance to renew their baptismal vows. Past the Mount of Temptation we are back in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 10:
Today you will leave Jerusalem and visit Tiberias. Today's pilgrimage includes boat ride across Sea of Galilee and visit to the Capernaum, St. Peter's House and Synagogue area where Jesus spent most of his time preaching. Short bus ride to the Mount of Beatitudes. Last stop today will be at the Primacy of St. Peter, Church of Multiplications of the
loaves and fishes in Tabgha. Tonight you are staying in hotel in Nazareth.

Day 11:
Most of the day pilgrims will spend visiting Nazareth. Visit will include Church & Cave of the Annunciation, Workshop of St. Joseph,
Ancient Synagogue, Mary's Well & Fountain. Same afternoon will depart for Mount Tabor visiting the Church of Transfiguration. Overnight in Nazareth. |

Day 12:
From Nazareth that we leave today first is visit Cana, Jesus' first miracle. Great place to celebrate the mass and renew our marriage vows. Then continue to Haifa area and Mount Carmel to visit the Carmelite Monastery.
Dinner and overnight in Haifa, Mt. Carmel area. |

Day 13:
Your last day in Holy land, visiting St. Elijah's cave, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel shrine, ancient ruins of the Carmelite order...at the end of the day to the hotel for dinner. |

Day 14:
Transfer to Tel Aviv airport for flight back home to the US, arrival home same day. |
