October 5th Group will depart from Louisville, intercontinentel flight to Europe, Croatia, city of Split.

Your group will arrive at the airport of city Split in Dalmatia one of the regions in the Republic of Croatia. Here all our groups meet our guide and leave for Medjugorje. Drive is along the most beautiful coastline in the world, the Adriatic Sea Coast. Time permitting we will attend the evening program in the Church of St. James, the Patron Saint of Medjugorje and patron saint of pilgrims. Your first dinner and overnight will be in family hotel in Medjugorje.

On your first day after the breakfast our local English-speaking guide will give you an orientation walk from your hotel to the Church St. James. Your program in Medjugorje consists of a combination of time spent in multilingual talks given by Franciscans from St. James parish of Medjugorje. Also of visit to the Apparition Hill, site of the apparitions of OUR LADY. You will have scheduled visits when possible to three of the visionaries, Ivan, Marija, and Vicka. All three of them according to their words still today, while you are reading this itinerary, receive apparitions of Our Lady. Your group with your guide will climb Cross Mountain, prayer at the top of it will be one of few highlights of this pilgrimage. One afternoon you will go to Siroki Brijeg to hear the talk and receive a blessing from Fr. Jozo, who was parish priest at the time of the first apparition in Medjugorje on June 24th 1981. On your schedule is, of course daily English speaking Holy Mass. Whether your group is accompanied with a priest or not, Medjugorje parish makes sure you have daily celebration of The Holy Eucharist in your language. Messages that Our Lady - QUEEN OF PEACE has been giving here is the foundation for the evening program. It is a program that consists of prayer of all Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, of evening Holy Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Prayer for Healing of the body and the soul and all beautiful praising of our God. Exact schedule of weekly program in the church group will receive from your guide. At the end of every day dinner is served at your hotel, home made Croatian cuisine.

EXTENSION TO ROME
In the morning after the breakfast group will leave Medjugorje and head for airport Split, city on the Adriatic coast for flight to Italy, Rome. Arrival to Rome is expected at about 6:00 pm, transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight in Rome.

After the breakfast starts your Christian tour of Rome. You will begin with visit to basilica of St. John Lateran, Cathedral of Rome, nearby Holy Staircase actual stairs that Jesus Christ walked on and basilica of St. Mary Major. After the lunch break tour will continue with visits to basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and Catacombs of St. Domitilla. Return to hotel, leisure time before dinner.

Group will after the breakfast leave for Vatican for visit to Vatican Museums with Sistine Chapel. At the end of this walking tour is St. Peter’s basilica, most important and the largest Catholic church in the world. Last few hours group will have free time for shopping before dinner and overnight.

Today group will be back at the St. Peter’s Square for papal Sunday blessing and then on to city tour of Rome. Group will start with the walk by the Coliseum, Arch of Constantine and next hour through the Roman Forum and the Imperial Forum rich archeological sites, ancient Rome. Tour continue to Pantheon, via Piazza Venezia, place where Peter and Paul were imprisoned, nowadays church and end with Santa Maria Sopra Minerva Church. At the end of the day some free time before dinner at the typical Italian restaurant, glass of vine before last overnight in Rome.
